So, it appears this week’s U.S. election is shaping up to be quite an explosive encounter.
A great deal is being written about how the outcome will affect… well, just about everything — from online censorship to stock markets to the shape and scale of regional conflicts in Eurasia, the Middle East and the Pacific.
But if we had to boil it down and comment on exactly what it means for the Jews, it’d look something like this…
A Harris win, in the eyes of most, will be a signal to the enemies of Jews worldwide to ramp up their efforts to destroy Israel, Torah, G-d and all things holy, chas v’shalom.
In other words, bombs away across the Middle East.
On the other hand…
A Trump win seems to prefigure a more localized American meltdown — call it a civil conflict — that puts the life of American Jewry directly in the crosshairs.
They’re already targets, of course, though most won’t admit it. A Trump win would serve to clarify that truth.
In other words: time’s up.
Not that Trump himself represents a danger to American Jews.
Rather, his victory will just trigger an unrestrained, rampaging, life-hating mob to descend upon Jewish communities across the land, as the last barriers of civility are toppled and all of urban America is set aflame.
To sum, a Harris win signals American weakness abroad, producing global chaos, as nations come to understand that America is a rudderless, vacuous, unprincipled zhlub.
While a triumphant Trump, on the other hand, would signal America's domestic demons to effect an all-out, hysterical riotous uprising that seeks to undermine the Orange Man's legitimacy.
Either way, the Jews end up the target.
If we were prophets, we might conclude by saying something like —
BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING…
