Just a follow up to our Southern Evangelical/Noahide post of a few weeks back…
So everyone’s clear — it's important emphasize the correct role of the Jew vis-à-vis the non-Jew, and thereby avoid the manifold confusions and misguided outreach that those of a more “progressive” orthodoxy (gag!) are now espousing.
Simply put, we Jews are meant to act as advisors to the world’s spiritually impoverished.
No more or less.
You want to be an authentic Ben Noach?
Let’s talk.
But that’s it.
Also, as Rabbi Kahane ztz”l repeatedly taught us, the relationship is exclusively one way.
That is — we have absolutely nothing to learn spiritually from the non-Jew.
Efes.
The flow of Truth is in one direction, from Jew to non-Jew.
And the corollary is that non-Jews have absolutely no business in Eretz Yisrael other than to avail themselves of said spiritual guidance.
That means no tourism.
No baptism.
No evangelism, ecumenicalism, secularism, occultism, paganism, nihilism, Satanism or feminism.
And by all means no plagiarism.
Moreover, there can be no pilgrimage, no intermarriage, nor any other garbage of that sort.
As for non-Jews who come to offer assistance to Jewish winemakers, crop-growers, shepherds, etc., they should be informed clearly and forthwith that they have until sundown to pack their satchels and git!
And that we'll tolerate neither dilly-dallying nor excuses.
Bottom line is — the non-Jew who has yet to accept Torah and the sheva mitzvot has no clue how to access a life of holiness, Truth and genuine contentment.
His influence, therefore, on the spiritual life of the Jew can never be beneficial.
When both parties recognize their proper roles, and the non-Jew appreciates that he can only attain the holy by acknowledging the centrality and spiritual superiority of G-d’s chosen people, a legitimate tikkun olam can then commence.
Until then… send ‘em back to the Black Lagoon.
