The Most Radical Act
Why not be on the cutting edge of human extreme? And advance the cause of Geulah!
Today’s letter is the handiwork of our good friend (and trusted lawyer) F.S. Zulatow, a man who finds poetry wherever he turns. Enjoy! And take heed…
There is nothing
You might undertake in this world—
Nothing so extreme or radical—
As the life
Of an authentic,
G-d fearing Jew.
The Jew!
Eternal iconoclast, ever swimming
Against the tide of base human nature,
Against the lure of the modern,
Against the deceptions of "science" and
The fads of liberty, equality and fraternity.
Only to G-d and His law is he bound,
Free from the siren of his secular brethren (and gentiles) who repeatedly admonish—
To lighten up,
Get along,
Cool your jets and
Just take part.
Like today’s hilltop youth—
With his flock and baznatim, a few dozen each,
Staking his earth,
Caring less about Arabs, police, the Minhal,
or
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,
And it's evil twin—world opinion.
(Which, in fact, is not so much
The worry of our Erev Rav leaders; rather,
Alienating America,
That's what terrifies them!
America… the cruel elder brother, whose praise and acceptance they crave.)
And the brave Peleg Yerushalmi,
Blocking roads in the capital, alongside
Proud Satmar chasidim,
Who refuse to be steamrolled by state-loving Stalinists.
Who insist on Torah and Jerusalem
For Jews! [gasp]
What greater torment
For the Erev Rav schwein, whose
Premiere desire is a TOURIST CENTER, with
A sprinkling of black hats
For flavor—
A PROFIT CENTER, and NOT, gawd forbid,
A chareidi stronghold,
And certainly not some metropolitan bastion of KIKERY
That EMBARRASSES their mod-west deviant sensibility.
The chutzpah of these medievals! they cry,
Blocking our roads and refusing our draft
In OUR TOURIST MEAL-TICKET!
It flies in the face of everything the SHaBaK-led elite aspire to.
Why can't they live
In the 21st century?
Why can’t they open a whatsapp group?
And just get along?
What’s with all this ‘temple-ing’ and yearning
To rebuild Jerusalem
Of so many ancient
Days gone by?
History is history—yes!
But archaeology—ohhh…
Archaeology—it brings so much money!
So, lets drop all this millenial blather;
Haven’t you heard? G-d’s a neurosis.
Freud even said…
And so we urge you all...
To do it—be radical.
Extreme in the extreme.
Wherever you may be.
Break the idols, and be—
The most jewish
Jew you can.
Smash them in plain view of
Your Erev Rav masters;
Rattle and resist them
At every turn.
In the countryside—stake your claim, and
In the city—remind them again and again that
Jerusalem belongs to the Jews—not
The Israelis, the
Americans, and
Certainly not
The Arabs.
Provoke the zionists—
At every turn
Poke a stick in their eye, however
Small,
Over and over.
And that includes the xian zionists l’mineyhem.
Remind them—not theirs this land,
And never was, nor
Is it TZaHaL’s or Mishteret Yisrael’s.
The land of Israel and everything in it
Belong solely to individual iconoclast Jews,
And it's upon us to confound the Deep State elite and
Their many-splendored henchmen, to
Every day admonish, in
Actions large and small,
Precisely who the owners
Of Eretz Yisrael are.
With a flock and baznatim,
With a sit-in at lishkat hagiyus.
By obstructing the movement of xians and ay-rabs,
And shaming publicly any
Evil yidden
Who insist on uniting
With Esav and Mahmoud!
And in so doing, in the end, we'll provoke
The goyim to break
With our Israeloid elite.
And then we'll finally stand alone. As
Bilaam foresaw (BaMidbar 23:9):
Hen am lvadad yishkon,
A nation that dwells alone.
Rashi: as Targum Onkelos renders it: alone destined to inherit the world.
And [they] will not be reckoned among the nations.
Rashi: As Targum Onkelos: they will not perish along with the other nations, for it says, “for I shall make an end of all the nations…” (Yirmiyahu 30:11), [but] they will not be reckoned with the rest.

What can I say - it's true.
But never forget that some chilonim have a beautiful soul, much more beautiful than many so -called frimme yidden: the garb does not make the man. It's all about the Neshamah, and some chilonim have shown their beautiful neshamot this past year, haven't they? A lot of them are simply tinokot she nisheb'u. So don't be so quick to judge. As long as they stand with Hashem, whichever way they know Him, is what counts. They can always come back, with their open hearts and their love. As long as they are not Erev Rav and Torah haters, why not?.....
