Its worthwhile stating the obvious at times, if only to ground those of a more ethereal nature, and to prevent them from following their fancies toward imagined Hollywood endings and other such fatuous speculation.
And so, it's like this—
THERE WILL BE NO END TO THIS WAR
That is, it will continue unabated on a variety of fronts, internally and externally, morphing according to the desires of the enemy, his perception of our weaknesses and how best to exploit them—until the anointed one of the House of David ultimately arrives and begins to turn the tide.
That is, don’t expect a discrete conclusion to the conflict in Gaza.
It’s not coming.
Rather, watch as the opening of a second front in the north diverts forces to that arena, while newer, sustained and deadly attacks are launched…
on the yishuvim of Yehuda and Shomron,
on the mixed cities of Lod, Acco, Ramle, Jerusalem, Maalot, etc., and…
random, brutal incursions into seamline cities like Kfar Saba, Hadera, Afula and Tiveria increase in frequency.
Everything will be coordinated by the enemy to spread our forces as thinly as possible, and to create an overwhelming sense of chaos and panic. And in that last aspect they'll certainly succeed—but only to the extent that the Jews lack faith and bitachon b’Hashem.
WAR WILL BE EVERYWHERE, ON EVERY DOORSTEP
It therefore behooves all good Jews to surround themselves as quickly and to the greatest extent possible with those who truly live their faith and trust in Hashem, and likewise, to avoid contact with the panickers and hysterico-paxil-gobblers.
Fear breeds fear, as the Rambam teaches in The Laws of Kings and Their Wars (Chapter 7, halacha 15), and the average Israeloid is, regrettably, a creature of fear.
He is therefore best avoided.
Anyone who begins to feel anxious and worry in the [midst of] battle [to the point where he] frightens himself, violates a negative commandment, as it is written (Devarim 20:3): ”Do not be faint-hearted. Do not be afraid. Do not panic and do not break ranks before them.”
Furthermore, he is responsible for the blood of the entire Jewish nation. If he is not valiant, if he does not wage war with all his heart and soul, it is considered as if he shed the blood of his entire people, as it is written (Devarim 20:8): “[Let him go home,] lest he demoralize the hearts of his brethren like his own.”
Rambam
So there it is—
We're ALL soldiers now, friends.
There’s no need to enlist.
It's already been done for you.
Remotely, as it were.
From above.
And don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise.
Or who wants to talk about THE DAY AFTER.
Because it ain't coming.
Moreover, any expectation of such a day can only bring disappointment, at best—crushing grief and despair, at worst.
Steel yourselves, good Jews and Noahides.
Because we're in for a long one.
This will be our reality until the nations of the world arrive and are vanquished by G-d and his Righteous Redeemer.
In the meantime, Eretz Yisrael is His crucible. And Hashem is upping the heat to purify us.
Just as Egypt forged the Nation of Israel into becoming an Am Hashem (Devarim 4:20), so, too, will the coming war make us pure and worthy of the final geulah.
May it come swiftly and b’rachamim.

Eep!
This could be a way in which the State can encourage Jews, if not order them, to "temporarily" relocate, due to the resources needed elsewhere. Then anything could happen, including giving up land in Yehudah and Shomron as part of a deal to end the war.
